Abby is a member of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer team. In 2019 she helped her team win the Women’s World Cup, bringing the United States its fourth Women’s World Cup title. Abby started every game at the center back position and played every minute except 8 during the entire tournament. In 2019, along with her U.S. teammates, Abby was selected to pose for the 2019 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
Abby's past accomplishments include being a member of the 2019 and 2018 U.S. women's soccer championship team, as well as the 2013 collegiate championship team.
