Beating Back Oxidative Stress There's nothing not to like about exercise. Well, almost nothing. As good for you as exercise is, the physical effort stresses your body in ways that promote the release of free radicals which can cause cellular damaged if left unchecked. That's where antioxidants come in. A study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research looked at how supplementing can limit the potentially damaging effects of oxidative stress.

A group of 16 female volleyball players supplemented for 6 weeks with vitamins C & E, zinc and selenium. Although they didn't know it at the time, half got a placebo instead. After the training period, players who got antioxidant support showed lower levels of oxidative stress because their antioxidant defenses weren't depleted.

True Strength Moment: This study illustrates the importance of high-potency multivitamins for active adults. Most people realize that hard training and playing individuals need more protein and carbohydrates than inactive people. These results suggest that it works the same way with micronutrients.

This is so true, I believe after one crosses the age of 25 years we lose all the vitamins and minerals in our body which are being taken by us in our teens/ childhood. We should at least go for one Tablet a day which fulfills all our Vitamin and Mineral Requirements like Opti Men or Opti Women from ON. Its a very nice product.
