The Time To Be Active Is Now

The Time To Be Active Is Now If you're active in younger years, there's a very strong probability that you'll remain active for many years to come. That's one of the conclusions from a 28-year study tracking the physical activity habits of 5,432 residents of northern Norway. About 58% of these subjects maintained activity levels between the 1st and 7th year of the study, with an impressive 53% keeping up the hard work all the way to the 28th year. This research appears in the journal Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise.

True Strength Moment: Not only did most of these study subjects remain active, but they typically continued on at the same level of intensity. If you're intensely physically active as a young adult, there's a good chance you'll be just as committed to hitting the gym three decades from now. Probably even longer!
