Who Eats Fast Food?

Who Eats Fast Food? You typically don't see every day gym goers lined up at a fast food restaurant. That kind of fare isn't very well suited to sculpting an enviable physique. But a study released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention calls out who's most likely to be fast food patron, and hints at the consequences of becoming a regular at one of these restaurants.

Between 2007 and 2010, fast food accounted for 11.3% of the average adult's daily diet. For those aged 20 through 39, the percentage was 15% but it decreased to 6% for males and females over the age of 59. Obese young adults got the highest amount of their daily energy from fast food, weighing in at 18% of all calories consumed.

True Strength Moment: Consider this disturbing trend: The more a subject weighed, the more fast food they consumed as a percentage of total daily food intake. So if there's one thing you can do to shed a couple pounds, it's avoid this type of establishment.
