The study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, assigned 73 obese adults (aged 18 to 35) to either a low-glycemic or a low-fat diet for six months. At the follow-up point, participants who consumed the low-glycemic diet displayed a greater decrease in body weight and body fat percentage than their counterparts.
