Most American Want To Get Into Shape
According to research by French technology company ReportLinker, 75% of Americans rated being fit and looking good as being very important. A lot of these 500 study subjects also thought they were currently too fat or not physically strong. Unfortunately, only 31% of those surveyed said they exercised on a regular basis.
These findings echo estimates by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that only about 1 in 5 American adults meet exercise guidelines which call for 2.5 hours of moderate aerobic activity each week along with muscle strengthening exercises performed on at least 2 days.
