True Strength For Soccer Players

You don’t have to be a gym newbie to realize great gains from weight training. Consider the impact strength training had on elite professional soccer players. The study was published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.
During the competitive season, 17 soccer players participated in 6 weeks of weight training using 85% to 90% of their one rep max (1RM). Compared to measurements taken before the strength training intervention, players saw improvements in maximal squat strength and short-distance sprints.
