Warm Up For Football Linemen

There’s any number of ways to warm up for competition. Choosing the right option depends on the specific demands of competition. If lower body flexibility is important to success in your sport, consider the findings of a study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.
 
Fourteen Division I football linemen warmed up using a deep tissue foam roller or dynamic stretching. Although neither protocol increased strength or power, both improved hip flexibility compared to athletes who didn’t warm up at all.
