The Benefits Of Drinking Water
By analyzing the dietary habits of 18,300 American adults, researchers calculated average water consumption at around 4.2 cups a day. A study published in the Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics found that adding 1% more can help you cut calories, sugar and fat consumption.
A small but significant 1% daily increase in plain water consumption was associated with a reduction of 8.6 calories per day. There were also reductions in sugar, fat, sodium and cholesterol. Stick with this slight increase in water consumption and those small incremental decreases could really add up over time.
